I grew up in Washington, DC (inside DC proper, as people say). I went to College in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania and majored in Architecture. Later, I attended the New York Studio School in NYC. I did a residency at the Vermont Studio School and got my masters from Utah State University, internationally known for their ceramics program.

 

I've found that whether I'm working in painting or sculpture, I am oriented toward the process. My goal is to achieve a sense of discovery evident in the finished product; in the work itself.
